2024 Bear Valley Program


2024 Bear Valley Camp - July 29th to August 1st


REGISTRATION OPTIONS:  

  • Resident/ Overnight: $845includes lacrosse camp, overnight lodging, all activities, and all meals.

  • Day Camp:  $595 includes lacrosse camp, all activities, lunch only.


CAMP GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
Campers who participate in Team NorCal Lacrosse camps will receive instruction from top California coaches, who know how to help players take their game to the next level.  In addition to tons of fun, new friendships, and memorable experience, players will leave camp with the following:

  • Improved fundamental skills on both offense and defense 
  • Specific, individual, positional coaching & instruction 
  • A clear picture of their individual strengths and weaknesses, so they know exactly what to work on post-camp that will help elevate their game at the youth level or prepare them for the High School game. 
  • A written camper individual review of their performance, with a plan for them to implement over the fall to prep them for the 2024 season
  • A greater lacrosse IQ 
  • A better understanding of teamwork and game strategy that will help them become better team players

ELIGIBILITY:
Boys and Girls ages 8-18 
We can meet the needs of all skill level's - we divide into skill and age appropriate groups at the beginning of camp.  


MEALS: (Menu and meals prepared by the new Executive Chef for the Bear Valley Lodge!)

  • A hot buffet style breakfast will be included Tues, Wed, and Thursday morning - (Resident Only) -Breakfast typical menu includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, fruit, bacon or sausage, toast/bagels/muffins, yogurt, and fruit and juices.  
  • Lunch-(All Campers) Lunch will be included Tues, Wed, and Thurs,  
  • Dinners will be included Mon, Tues, and Wednesday Night.  (Resident Only)-Dinner Generally one night is a barbecue, one night is burritos and enchiladas, and one night is roasted chicken...
  • Snacks (All Campers) - Day and evening snacks as needed to keep everyone's energy up and smiles on their faces....

ACTIVITIES (included for all campers):
Rock Climbing with Bear Valley Mountain Adventures, Kayaking, Frisbee Golf, Hiking, Swimming in Bear Lake, Movie Night, Capture the Flag/Midnight Lacrosse Outdoor Night, and more...

LODGE DETAILS
Bear Valley Lodge will be available exclusively for our group, providing a safe and secure environment for the campers.  See pictures of the facilities here.  There are several restaurants, a café, a general store, a pool, and an arcade on site.  All players have roommates (they can choose their roommates in advance if they wish), and each gets their own bed.   

GLAMPING: Each camper has the opportunity to spend one or more nights in the GLAMPING TENTS at Bear Valley Ski Resort on the edge of the mountain, staying in luxurious heated tents, with wood heaters and a fabulous view of Mount Mokulemne

WHAT TO BRING:

  • All Lacrosse equipment, including mouthpieces, helmet, shoulder & elbow pads, gloves, sticks, cleats for grass, & protective cup.
  • Change of clothes for appropriate days
  • Shoes or flip-flops for off field activities
  • Dollars for incidentals * snacks* arcade - not too much though...
  • Water Bottle and Sleeping Bag
  • Swimwear and Sunscreen   
  • Toiletries (Towels)

 

TRANSPORTATION OPTION:
For any campers who do not have their own means of transportation, we have contracted a professional bus company for a ride to and from the camp.  The bus leaves at 
8AM from Palo Alto High School on Monday July 24th, with stops for pickup in San Leandro and Livermore, and arrives at Bear Valley about 1PM.  It returns Thursday - leaving Bear Valley July 27th at 1PM, and arriving in San Leandro and Livermore about 5PM, and Palo Alto at about 6PM.
