Team NorCal Lacrosse

Congratulations to those selected for our Platinum, Blue and Gold teams!  We are very confident we have the best U15 Travel program in California!  A lot of people are going to be very surprised in July in Orlando!

Now that we've got 5-6 practices under our belt, we are starting to prepare for the exciting Summer Tournament Schedule.  You can find the U15 Tournament Schedule for each team under 2012 Tournaments.  

We need to know which Tournaments you will commit to - so we can do roster planning.  The Tournament Commitment Form needs to be complete by March 1st for all players.  

The major Summer Tournaments include:

US Lacrosse Western Regional Championships June 1st-3rd Phoenix, Arizona

Vail Warrior Shootout Vail, Colorado June 18th-21st

Pacific Lacrosse Festival San Diego CA, June 30th-July 1st 

Brine Summer Sizzle, Baltimore, Maryland July 13th-15th

US Lacrosse U15 National Championships Orlando Florida July 27th-29th

Directions on how and when to pay the Tournament Fees for these tournaments will be made available shortly.  

In 2011 Team NorCal  had its strongest year ever in the U15 Division. With top 10 finishes at 2 highly competitive tournaments - third place US Lacrosse U15 Southern Regional and the Vail Warrior U15 Shootout, Team NorCal also qualified for its first ever trip to the US Lacrosse U15 National Championship finishing in the top 12 in the country as an 8th grade heavy roster (all the other teams were premoniantly 9th graders. Coaches Matt Skiba (JV Head/Asst. Varsity Coach Bellarmine) and Greg Mengis (Head Varsity Los Altos) are poised to build off of last years success and return to California in late July 2012 with the National Championship trophy after US Lacrosse informed Team NorCal that the Platinum Team has automatically been accepted to the 2012 National Champiosnhip!

Also in 2012, Team NorCal is positioning themselves to send its U15 Blue and Gold rosters to the National tournament as well. These rosters will be comprised of age eligible 9th graders and the top 8th/7th graders in the Bay Area. The Coaches selected to earn this opportunity will be Jeff Eckenhoff (JV Head Coach Menlo) & Brick Markham (JV Head Coach Palo Alto). With many NorCal 9th grade Alums pegged to return, Team NorCal is in a position to begin a tradition of being a familiar face at the National Championship for years to come!
