Once the players nominated to the Blue and Gold team respond, we will know how many spots are available for Alternates, and should make additional offers early next week.
Players still on the Alternate list after this can choose to be on the Alternate program. This gives a player the opportunity to practice with the team all year long, and perhaps earn a spot in many of the tournaments over the course of the year - since not every player is able to make every tournament. There is no promise or commitment that a spot on the team will become available, but history suggests it is certainly possible and more often then not likely.
We have plenty of examples of many of our better players beginning their Team NorCal career as Alternates - so you should be glad you have received this recognition, and we hope we find a space for you. Several of our best players this year for U13 started as Aleternates last season.
