Girls HS Fall Ball League

GIRLS HS FALL BALL LEAGUE

High School Fall Ball League for Girls, sponsored by Team NorCal Lacrosse

We will follow our successful format of our previous years of HS Fall Ball with teams mostly playing small-sided games to maximize ball touches and pace; we will also incorporate some full-field play per player interest.  Each player will be assigned to a team (teams to be created based on school, region, or by request).

Dates: Sunday afternoons: Sept 17, 24, Oct 1, 8, 15, 29.  (No Oct 22.)

HS Fall Ball League is a great program:

1) It helps all players maintain and improve their stick skills in the offseason

2) SIXES!  Small-sided games means lots of touches for all players; likewise, small-sided games translates to essentially everyone plays Middie.  In other words: get or stay in shape, Attackers improve their re-defending skills, Defenders improve their stick skills, every player becomes a better all-around player.  We at Team NorCal have been doing small-sided format for many years; just recently, USA Lacrosse has adopted "Sixes" which is essentially what we've been playing for years.  It's fantastic, high -paced, and fun!

3) It helps enhance team chemistry.  For those who sign up together with teammates (from your HS team or your club team), this Fall Ball League provides you the opportunity to foster team chemistry and dynamics that will translate into your school or club season.

4) It gives players looking to compete and gain a spot on their school JV or Varsity roster in the spring much needed playing time against Varsity and High School level competition.  This is especially important for 9th graders, who greatly benefit from this low-stakes introduction to the fast-paced game of High School Lacrosse.

5) It's a chance to play great competition - a way to test your skills & abilities and see how you match up with other HS players around the  region.

6) It is a great way to get outside and get some exercise, manage stress of school, and life in general.

7) You get a chance to play the world's greatest game in a low-stakes environment.
